Spirit's Strength
Nobody uses Rits for pvp any more, so I was looking through their skills to find out why. Found this horribly conditional, but interesting skill, [wiki]Spirit's Strength[/wiki]. A few more interesting skills later (namley [wiki]Signet of Illusions[/wiki], [wiki]Scourge Enchantment[/wiki] and [wiki]Scourge Healing[/wiki]) and I had a very interesting build.
Gumby's Interesting TA Build
The use of a superior rune on the Ritualist is balanced by [wiki]Vital Weapon[/wiki].
I'm currently taking suggestions for both the Smiter and the Mesmer, as I'm sure they can be improved.
Anyways, three of the four characters in this build have the ability to spike (albeit rather infrequently) quite hard. The majority of the damage will come from pressure though. The Smiter will stack scourges on th Rit's target, and the mesmer will cover them and backfire/degen the monk. The Rit will probably be doing 50+ with normal attacks, so it won't be long before the pressure gets overwhelming. Mesmer also has [wiki]Blood Ritual[/wiki], which should only be used if its desperatley needed. On another note, I realise I have [wiki]Frenzy[/wiki] on the Ritualist with no cancel stance, and because of his already low armor it's very dangerous. I was considering putting [wiki]Rush[/wiki] instead but I don't know, I'd really rather have the IAS. Was also considering dropping Spawning Power to 14-15 and buffing Communing, but again, I'm not sure.
And so, I ask of you to tell me what you think .

Looks.... interesting. A couple things, spear of light would probably be better as draw conditions on the smiter. That would free up the sight beyond sight slot and let you use rush/sprint/cancel stance of some sort.
Also, since this build is really designed to train one target to death, snares would help a lot. Considering that kiting basically screws over the majority of your offense...

Like mephisto said, you should take a draw conditions on the smiter, because taking frenzy with now way to cancel it...
I'd change the attributes of the blight: no need for 10 in prot, i'd go with 14 in divine, 10 in healing, 9 in prot and 5 in shadows. I don't really like the idea to go without a sig of devotion, but with the blood ritual...
Funny build, i love the idea to let the rit do something else than spirit spam. But without any warrior haste, and with 4 guys with low armor, I dunno if you can go far.
(oh, and with 12 in prot on the smiter, why do you take gift of health instead of rof?)

I'd also take draw on the smiter. There is not much use carrying dismiss conditions and mend conditions on the same monk. Would be more effective as mending touch/ mend condition or simply mend condition / sig of devotion with the sniper carrying draw keeping the monk clean.
Good to see something new btw.

I think that SbS also acted as a cover enchantment, SV can't be kept up indefinately.
As for your BL monk, drop /A and go /W with Shield Bash, Riposte, a shield. You can stop sin chains before they begin by pressing the SB button the very second you see Shadow Prison appear in your debuff window .
